Saw My Shadow Six More Weeks Of.....

Ok, so like I’m hangin at the post when I look down and see this thing (I don’t know what it is) on the ground. Kind a looks like me but I don’t know and being a horse, I’m spooked a little. So the horse next to me says “yo, wha’s you afraid of son?” So I says, ‘this thing on the ground that moves when I do.’ The old horse laughed and says “boy that’s your shadow and it’s good luck!” So, like, I mean “how’s it good luck?” I asked.

So Mr. Wiseguy proceeds to tell me that when a horse sees his shadow, it means six weeks of nothin’ to do. No owners, no silly stuff with that thing he puts around my head, don’t need to follow the herd if I don’t feel like it....wow! It don’t get better than that I thought.

Just then my owner drops the training saddle on me and I say “hold on there bubba-louie, I just saw my shadow”.....Nothing...he doesn’t even acknowledge this important fact. So I turn and look at Mr. Wiseguy and he’s peeing himself cus he thinks this is the funniest thing he’s ever seen. “Boy”, he says, “you really are a dope”. “Every horse knows that when a horse sees his shadow it don’t mean anything cept the suns out and you're going to work.”

Sure glad the rest of the herd wasn't around to see this. I'd never hear the end of it.

Hey tomorrow I'll tell you about my adventures in the creek.

Turbo.....out.
